On June 23,2010 Isla Grande Flying hosted a group of kids from Ninos que quieren Sonreir, an organization that provides help to kids with cancer. The visitors were allowed to explore the airplanes cockpit while learning about flying.
Mr. Harry Rivera, the airport’s Control Tower Supervisor coordinated a tour of the group to the Tower facilities. The tour included activities like use of light signals, watching airplanes on Radar and binoculars and a session of Questions and Answers that provided an insight of Air Traffic Control to the kids.
